eulogy.

i woke up this morning, a little past 12pm.
and out came from my brother`s mouth, a news that an uncle of mine
had passed on.

he, was a great man, and a spectacular father.
he raised 4 brilliant boys together
with his magnificent wife, my auntie.

but just this morning, he left. a little
too soon.
he collapsed. probably due to a heart attack.
he was 68, and alone.

they say he`s somewhere now. some place where there are
halos, rainbows and all-you-can-eat buffets.

but he didn`t really leave, if you ask me.

because i`m sure inside all of us,
there`s a place we keep him, so dearly.

sometimes, there's so much
beauty in the world.

"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and
there's this electricity in the air, you
can almost hear it.
And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play
with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things,
and... this incredibly benevolent force,
that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever.
Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and
I need to remember...

Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world
I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."

dance, dance,
EVOLUTION.

i was bored.
so i went to youtube.

that`s how the koreans work
the DDR machine.
then i came across this
and i can`t stop laughing.

tectonik much?
then i recalled what mong said
which reminded me very much of the ah
beng culture in singapore.

and now, i`m so amused (:
wounds;

people have scars in all sorts of unexpected places.
like secret roadmaps of their personal histories and diagrams of all their old wounds.

most of our old wounds heal leaving nothing behind but a scar,
while some of them don`t.

some wounds we carry everywhere, though the cut`s long gone.
but the pain still lingers.

...

so what`s worst?

new wounds which are so horribly painful,
or old wounds that should have healed years ago and never did.

maybe our old wounds teach us something.

they remind us of where we`ve been and what we`ve overcome.
they teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future.

that`s  what we like to think.

but that`s not the way it is, is it?

because some things we just have to learn,

over and over and over again.
